Tkachuk added another goal later with a beautiful backhand move. Scoring twice in his first game was already a huge statement, but what stood out even more was the energy and emotion he brought.

He was running over the Finns left, right, and center. He played as if it were Game 7, and the fans watching took notice.

People praised him like never before, and, of course, the ridiculous mock trades started pouring in again.

Brady Tkachuk, unfortunately, left early with an apparent leg/knee injury. Luckily for Team USA—and Senators fans—the injury doesn’t appear to be serious.

Tkachuk Likely Good To Go Thursday

As things stand, he’s expected to be in the lineup on Thursday for the championship game.

Even in a meaningless game, Tkachuk played as if his life depended on it. He was still throwing hits and playing his relentless style, despite the game having little impact on the tournament’s outcome.

At this point, every non-Senators fan is salivating over the idea of Tkachuk in their team’s jersey.

But as we know, he’s not going anywhere. His performance in this tournament has simply reaffirmed how underrated he has been.

It’s great to see Brady Tkachuk finally getting the international recognition he deserves.
